Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Aveda’s social media channels, including content strategy, activation, growth, and community management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international partners to optimize social best practices globally.
  • Manage and execute North America launch content strategy, set international guidelines, and align messaging with the Professional channel team.
  • Develop content calendars, editorial themes, and creative briefs to ensure authentic brand presence and community engagement.
  • Support the VP and 360 Marketing team with social-first ideas and execution strategies.
  • Monitor trends and the competitive landscape to inform strategy.
  • Organize and delegate content production, community management, and cross-functional priorities.
  • Present strategies and execution plans to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Lead social media performance analysis, create support materials for international markets, and test new platform best practices.
 

Qualifications

Essential:         
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications, marketing, journalism or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, digital, or communications
  • Social-obsessed with deep understanding of digital landscape, particularly social platforms (existing and emerging); adept at thinking creatively and analytically 
  • Voracious consumer of digital/social content, and early adopter of trends with a passion for innovation - beauty, social & video-obsessed 
  • Knowledge of creator space and how content best applies to owned brand social
  • Experience working cross-functionally with owned, earned, paid and professional business partners to execute cohesive, disruptive digital marketing strategies.
  • Highly strategic and creative with the ability to communicate their vision clearly
  • Proven experience crafting community building social media content and channel strategy
  • Results-driven with experience in social measuring, testing and reporting, applying learnings to make fast and future optimizations (Experience working with international markets is a plus.) 
  • Full Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of Social Media management platforms: Sprinklr, Dash Hudson, Tribe Dynamics

  • Excellent team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and can build, foster and nurture relationships with cross-functional teams 
  • Self-motivated, extremely detail-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to always bring ideas to the table           
  • Highly organized and results-oriented 
  • Strong ability to proactively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment 
  • Demonstrated experience executing impactful, engaging creative and strategic brand campaigns
